Week 11: Arizona at Cincinnati

Arizona (4-5) at Cincinnati (3-6)
Game time: Sunday, Nov. 18 at 1 p.m. Eastern

If you like to watch acrobatic wide receivers, this is the game for you.

Cincinnati WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh leads the NFL with 68 receptions. WR Chad Johnson – “Ocho Cinco,” as he likes to say – can go off at any time. And WR Chris Henry, finally back after his many offseason issues, had 99 yards receiving last week.

And then there’s Arizona, which Cincinnati coach Marvin Lewis says probably has the “prettiest” group of WRs in the league. We think he meant it as a compliment. WR Larry Fitzgerald had two touchdowns last week and has had at least 70 yards receiving for eight games in a row. WR Anquan Boldin has lost a little of his explosiveness with a hip injury, but has still scored twice in the past three games.

Both of these teams are coming off interesting wins Sunday. Arizona limited Detroit to a staggering minus-18 yards rushing in a 31-21 victory – the fewest rushing yards in an NFL game since 1947, when the league stopped including sacks in rushing-yardage totals.

The Bengals, meanwhile, beat Baltimore without ever scoring a touchdown. Although their 21-7 win over the Ravens sounds like a normal football score, they got to “21” with seven field goals from K Shayne Graham. Graham has now hit 19 field goals in a row, and his 95 percent success rate leads the NFL.

Although neither team is in very good shape for the playoffs, Arizona has a better chance. The Cardinals are only one game behind Seattle. Cincinnati, on the other hand, is in last place in the AFC North and would probably need to go 6-1 to make the field.

Cincinnati coach Marvin Lewis says his Bengals are healthier than they have been all year. Arizona coach Ken Whisenhunt is particularly pleased right now with a defense that included LB Karlos Dansby, who was the NFC Defensive Player of the Week after grabbing two interceptions and also forcing a fumble.

QBs Kurt Warner and Carson Palmer should put up some big numbers in this one, especially since both teams have had some injury problems on defense lately. It may come down to who has the ball last.
