The son of former Raiders' Hall of Fame defensive tackle Howie Long will bring the type of hard-working blue-collar attitude that every team needs, but especially those at the top of the draft.

Long is a candidate to go No. 1 overall to the Dolphins, having played in a 3-4 defensive scheme at Virginia under coach Al Groh, who was an assistant to Bill Parcells with the New York Giants during their Super Bowl XXV victory.

Although Long is more of a "what you see is what you get" prospect with limited upside, he has shown improvement every season at Virginia and would appear to be one of the most pro-ready players in the class.

If Long does not go with the top spot, he won't last long — with the Rams at No. 2 and the Raiders at No. 4 being his next-likely destinations and the Jets at No. 6 and Patriots at No. 7 being the longest possible fall for young Long.
