The Lakers went 4-1 on their trek and have won 15 of their last 16 games overall. Pau Gasol recorded 13 points and 11 boards, while Ron Artest contributed 14 points, nine assists and six steals in the victory as LA moved to an NBA-best 22-4. Jason Kidd logged 10 points and 11 assists in the victory. LeBron James, playing in his 500th career regular season game, scored 25 for the Cavaliers, who had a five-game winning streak snapped. This was the start of a rough four-game road trip for Cleveland, which will face Phoenix and Sacramento before concluding the swing on Christmas Day with a mammoth matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.
