LOS ANGELES - L.A. Lakers forward Pau Gasol has reportedly agreed to a contract extension with the team.
The Los Angeles Times reports Gasol has agreed to a deal that would keep him with the Lakers through the 2013-14 season. The paper cited a source close to the negotiations.
Gasol has been with the Lakers since February 2008, when Los Angeles acquired him from Memphis. The 29-year-old helped the Lakers to the NBA title last season after averaging 18.9 points and 9.6 rebounds. Gasol is averaging a double-double this season, with 17.7 points and 12.7 boards per game.
