What It Felt Like Watching Fox's "Hot Spot" Cam
Anyone else reminded of a certain '80s movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger while watching game 1 of the World Series?

I'm not totally sure how long Fox has had their infrared "Hot Spot" camera, but it was a little jarring when they brought it out of nowhere last night to kinda, sorta tell us that maybe Adrian Beltre's ninth inning out, was actually a foul ball that had hit him in the foot. No one bothered explaining if a ball hitting someone's foot makes more of a "hot spot" than a ball hitting regular ground. But if Predator taught me anything, I guess it's that infrared cameras can't see anything that's covered in mud.
Still, a little explanation would have helped.
