GOLF CHANNEL’S BRANDEL CHAMBLEE GIVES HIS TAKE: For the first time in his short career, Bubba cracked the top 50 in putting, and he was rewarded with his best season and very nearly the PGA Championship. Long known as a bomber, Watson found a way to complement that length with a newfound savoir faire on the greens and quickly elevated his game to a different level, finishing 15th on the 2010 money list. He will always struggle with inconsistency because of his erratic style of play — on average, he has missed almost 10 cuts a year since he got his card — but birdies and eagles come easily to him, and so will his next win.
