Week 15: MTSU at Louisiana-Lafayette
This could be a winner-take-all type game. The winner likely lands an at-large bowl invitation, while the loser misses bowl eligibility by one game in the Sun Belt’s best year for postseason opportunities.
Week 13 National Notebook
Oklahoma had one of the most impressive single-game performances this season by crushing Texas Tech while Utah secured a BCS Bowl bid with a victory in the Holy War. Mitch Light takes a look around Week 13 of the college football landscape in his National Notebook.
Week 13: North Texas at MTSU
This could be a long, high-scoring affair. Both teams rely heavily on their passing attack, and at least North Texas’ pass defense is poor.
Week 12: MTSU at Western Kentucky
This is No. 4 of five straight games versus future Sun Belt foes for Western Kentucky, which joins the league next season. Since beginning its transition into FBS, WKU is 1-12 versus current FBS members, with its only win coming against MTSU last season.
Week 11: Louisiana-Monroe at MTSU
Neither team has a conference championship or bowl berth in its immediate future, but both are eager for some late season momentum.
Under The Radar: Week 9
The Big 12, Big Ten and SEC all have marquee match-ups this weekend. But the battle for Pac-10 supremacy will also take place in Tuscan, Arizona. Mike Stoops and Co. are set to take on the USC Trojans late Saturday night.
Week 9: MTSU at Mississippi State
This non-conference game has little appeal from either side. Mississippi State’s bowl hopes are nearly dead, and a letdown against MTSU would put the Bulldogs out of their misery. The Blue Raiders are trying to stave off a similar slide.
Under The Radar: Week 8
The Big 12 continues to be the conference to watch on Saturday's with marquee match-ups in Austin, Texas and Norman, Okla. However, there are a few other games to watch this weekend that aren't necessarily getting the national hype.
Week 8: MTSU at Louisville
Since experiencing the high of downing Kansas State, Louisville hasn’t had much to celebrate. The sun should shine on the U of L in this game though — thanks to Middle Tennessee.
Week 7: MTSU at Florida International
Florida International and MTSU are suddenly feeling good about their seasons. MTSU narrowly avoided a 0-3 start in conference play with a last-second Hail Mary pass to beat defending Sun Belt champion Florida Atlantic last week. FIU has won two straight over Toledo and UNT after losing 26 of its previous 27 games and stands at 1-0 in Sun Belt play.
Under The Radar: Week 6
The upsets continue as Pitt took down South Florida Thursday night. Are there any other teams that need to be on upset alert? Penn State travels to Purdue, Texas heads to Boulder and the 5-0 UConn Huskies are on Tobacco Road this weekend.
Week 6: Florida Atlantic at MTSU
Florida Atlantic will begin defense of its Sun Belt title, while MTSU will defend its home turf in this Tuesday night showdown.
Under The Radar: Week 5
Oregon State has thrown the first wrench into the BCS landscape with their 27-21 victory over USC last night. The Horned Frogs of TCU will try their best to do the same Saturday against the Sooners.
Five burning questions: Week 5
Has the Big 12 North caught up to the Big 12 South? Will a Conference USA, MAC or Sun Belt team ever reach a BCS Bowl game? Athlon's editors debate these questions and more in the Week 5 edition of Five Burning Questions.

Under The Radar: Week 4
This is easily the biggest slate of games thus far in 2008. SEC powers will be on display all over the schedule but it doesn't mean that there aren't solid match-ups elsewhere this weekend.
Week 4: MTSU at Arkansas State
MTSU and Arkansas State have had similar highs and lows in non-league games this season, but this conference contest carries a different significance.
