Philip J. Pizzo. I am a big LSU fan and graduate...but I was very impressed by Locker and by the fired up players and fans. Reminded me a of Tiger Stadium.
In my opinion, Locker is a better QB than Bradford, Tebow and on a par with Colt McCoy. He has a cannon for an arm and is deadly accurate. Besides, he is a 4.4 40 speedster who can run when he has to.
I really like this guy and he will eventually be the first QB taken in the first round...and maybe the # 1 pick.
The Huskies will win 5-6 games if Locker stays healthy. Their big problem is defense, especially pass defense. Since defense is the name of the game, if they improve by a bunch, they will win 7-8 games. Remember:
"The best defense will beat the best offense 8 of 10 times"....

I like the consistent performance by OSU...in the Big 10. But when it comes to outside top teams, they fold. Again USC will pound them as LSU, Florida and the rest of the SEC has done.
Nevertheless Jim Tressel is an excellent coach and he produces good teams..every year. Ironically, they could have beaten Texas if it were not for the biggest bonehead call by a defensive coordinator in memory. Texas scored the winner just at the end of the game because..for some in-
explicable reason, the OSU 'D' lines up with 8 in the box to stop the run..and the middle of the field is left wide open. That's where Texas threw the pass and won the game. I wonder if Tressel had some words with that 'D' coordinator.

Oregon produces top 10 teams each and every year? Which sport?

Ohhh...wait...I get it...you mean they START the season ranked and then fold like a house of cards in the second half of the season. Got ya.

Kind of obvious from your statements you've stopped actually paying attention to the REAL results Oregon achieves and just believe the hype machine...

The same machine that was saying the National Championship runs through Eugene this year. I guess it took a detour.

As for Columbus having unrealistic expectations I should point out that at least they win their conference and actually play in BCS games...cause you know...they consistenly finish in the top 10 each and every year.

If you look across the Pac-10 landscape the team that is most intriquing is the oregon ducks. Why? This is a school in a small town (eugene) with an average size stadium (56,000) and one large donor (phil knight). yet the school has some of the best ahtletic facilities in the country and consistenly produces a top 10 team each and every year.
much of the credit goes to solid coaching and great recruiting and living in a town where expectations are not unlreastic (ie. Columbus, Ohio). Oregon is going to suprise the heck out of the league this year, and you heard it hear first, they will be USC.
