Kickers are easily forgotten in the fantasy mix, but don’t discount having a good one in your lineup each week. Although they don’t have the scoring prowess of a running back, getting a couple of extra points could be the difference between winning and losing.

Team Defenses

As we’ve mentioned in our previous rankings, the non-conference match-ups has provided plenty of top notch options for fantasy owners. Defenses are no exception. Our top rated defense for week one – Ohio State – will take on Youngstown State while USC is at Virginia. Further down the list, South Florida hosts UT Martin and Miami hosts Charleston Southern. If you have a concern about your defense, be sure to check the waiver wire for several promising options.
