ON THE FIELD
• The Badgers are 19-4 with Tolzien as the starting QB over the past two seasons, including 9-1 this year and ranked seventh in the current BCS standings. In his 23 games as a starter, UW is averaging 35.4 points and 422.0 yards of total offense. This year the Badgers are averaging more than 40.0 points per game (top 10 in the country).
• Tolzien ranks ninth in the country this year with a passer rating of 160.1, which would be tops in school history. His career pass efficiency rating of 150.0 is the best in school history and fourthbest among active FBS quarterbacks with at least 25 games played.
• On the season, Tolzien is completing 72.5 percent of his passes, second only to Northwestern’s Dan Persa in the country. In his last five games, he has completed 78-of-102 passes (76.5
percent). The Wisconsin school record for single-season completion percentage is 67.8 percent by Darrell Bevell in 1993.
• Tolzien’s career completion percentage of .675 is the best in school history and third-best among active quarterbacks with at least 20 games played.
• In the red zone this season, Tolzien has a pass efficiency rating of 328.5, having completed 20-of-23 passes for 190 yards and 12 touchdowns without an interception. Last year, Tolzien was 20-of-35 for 175 yards and nine TDs and no interceptions in the red zone (pass efficiency of 184.0).
• On third down this year, Tolzien is 37-of-53 for 472 yards with two TDs and no interceptions. That equals a pass efficiency of 157.1. In the last four games, Tolzien is 15-of-17 on third down for 173 yards.
• Despite just two years as the starting QB, Tolzien ranks sixth in school history in career passing yards.

GOLDEN ARM AWARD
Too often, scandals like the ones at the University of Miami or Ohio State or USC overshadow the positive aspects of college athletics. The Golden Arm Award, presented annually to the top senior quarterback - as qualified by academic year - by the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Foundation, encapsulates all that is good in college sports. The award acknowledges performance on the filed, for sure. However, it goes beyond completion percentage and touchdown passes. The Golden Arm Award rewards character, citizenship, integrity and those who honor the game.
Athlon Sports is proud to partner with the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Foundation in sponsoring this award in 2011.
