The Skinny
Meyer's senior season was cut short due to foot surgery in Oct.
The Analysis
This big, rangy offensive line prospect has all the physical tools to be a really good college player. He has a huge frame with plenty of room to pack on weight and get stronger. Both of which he will need to do as strength/power is something he needs to develop. He also needs work on his knee bend and pad level. Consistency will be the main issue here.
Meyer’s footwork on pass drops is technically sound and effective. His long legs create a very wide base that gives him solid balance. He then uses his long arms to keep pass-rushers at bay. Meyer is a well spoken, smart kid who will not get into any trouble off the field.
He has been working very hard in studying Sam Baker and the rest of the current USC o-line. All of the little issues in Meyer’s game can be fixed with solid coaching. Mental attitude, size and physical ability cannot be taught, and Meyer has all three.
