The Skinny

Barron has been committed to Alabama since August 2007

The Analysis

This wing-T running back is a very interesting prospect. Barron will likely end up at wide receiver but has the ability to be used out of the back field. He is a big, imposing figure out on the wing as he rumbles through defensive backs. He does not have great explosion and burst but shows decent speed. He gets faster as he runs but will never be a “fast-twitch” athlete.

Barron is a wonderfully gifted athlete. He is strong, physical, shifty and is comfortable with the ball in his hands. When split out, however, he needs works. He is still developing his pass-catching skills and will never explode out of his breaks. His size will allow him to use his body to make plays and impose his will on smaller, weaker defensive backs.

Still, there is a possibility that Barron ends up at safety.
