The Skinny

Major will graduate high school at 17 years old

The Analysis

Major is on the same level as Etienne Sabino when it comes to the entire package at the linebacker position. Major likely does not have the same raw speed that Sabino; the top player in the state of Colorado makes up for it with sheer will power and brute force. He closes on the football with great quickness and explodes into opponents.

Major does all the little things right, also. He is constantly swiping at the ball while tackling, forcing his fair share of turnovers. He also knows that if he gets blocked on a blitz that he needs to get his hands up and close down throwing windows.

This young linebacker does it all. His pass coverage skills are easily his weakest point. But even then, he has solid, fundamental zone drops and is more than athletic enough to hang with tight ends. Third down backs and slot receivers will put a lot of pressure on his athletic limitation, however.
