The Analysis

This talented young defensive back played out of position much of his high school career. At Pahokee he was used as almost a rover/safety down in the box a great deal. He will be on the outside once he gets to Gainesville. However, this experience close to the line has given Jenkins a physical mentality, and this should help him be solid in run support from his corner position.

Jenkins is a bit on the small size but makes up for it with great quickness and agility. He gets into and out of his pedal with great speed. He also has excellent closing speed once he breaks on the ball. His change-of-direction ability will likely make him a dynamic return man as well.

Gator coaches would like to see him add some weight and bulk up a bit as his size is his biggest drawback. Jenkins is more quick than he is fast. His elite speed is not great, but he makes up for it with lightning quickness and solid work ethic.
