The Analysis

Goebel is one of the more well-schooled prospects in this class. He shoots his hands well to shed blockers. He also shows a working knowledge of more refined pass rushing moves. The spin and the rip are already options for Goebel. This player will always be where his coach tells him to be.

Goebel just does not look like a big-play type defender. He certainly is not a “fast-twitch” athlete. This lack of top end speed and acceleration will initiate a move inward along the defensive line. Once he adds weight, his disciplined, fundamental approach would be a perfect fit for defensive tackle.
