The Analysis

There are very few weaknesses in this young linebacker’s game. Sabino has great size and athletic ability. He has the speed to play sideline-to-sideline and the strength to stuff the run. He has very strong diagnostic skills, making very few incorrect movements. This kid flies to the football and punishes runners. Against the pass, he shows solid athleticism and range.

Two areas that are incredibly impressive are Sabino’s ability to play through traffic and his blitzing skills. He sifts through debris as well as any linebacker in the nation, playing low and balanced in and around the big uglies. His ability to get to the quarterback in blitz packages is uncanny.

Sabino could still use some work on his hand technique and body control. He will learn to shoot his hands and shed bigger, more dominating D-I linemen.
