Stonum has been committed to Michigan since July 2007

The Analysis

Stonum is going to catch a lot of passes in college. He shows flashes of brilliance in the open field once he gets his hands on the ball. He has the wiggle to be very productive in a Texas Tech-like quick, short passing game. Bubble screens, slants, hitches etc.

He also has track star speed - he competes in the 200 meter for his track team. Combine that with excellent route running ability and Stonum has the skill set to be a solid contributor in all phases of the passing game. His cuts are incredibly sharp and decisive.

It is appropriate that he is heading to Ann Arbor as Mario Manningham is a strong camparison. Michigan continues to go into the Texas and pull top-level talent.
