A savvy, instinctual player who understands the game well and fits both man and zone schemes well. He possesses the quickness and agility to roll-up into a man scheme and mirror most wideouts. But he also has a physical side that makes him a quality tackler and zone player as well. He is not a big prospect, but Howard makes up for it with solid length and tremendous vertical leaping ability. He attacks the football with that leaping skill and tremendous burst in closing situations. His high football IQ makes him a polished player from a technique standpoint - a rarity at the pure cover corner position in high school. Posted 45 tackles and four interceptions as a junior.
