The Analysis

PROS: Davis could be listed as either inside or outside linebacker as well as defensive end - in any defensive scheme. He could play anywhere in any front seven. He is a disruptive force who brings excellent recognition skills, quality tackling ability, tremendous overall athletic ability and perfect size to the table. As an end, he has elite level speed and quickness that would make him a terror off the edge when his hand is in the dirt. He has the agility, fluidity and balance to play in space, however, making him an intriguing linebacker prospect. He fits both inside and out in both 3-4 or 4-3 schemes. He plays sideline-to-sideline and can be dominant against the run and at the point of attack.

CONS: He displays an excellent knowledge of the game, so his pass drops will only continue to improve. For now, his man coverage skills are his only weakness, but he has the athletic tools needed to succeed there. And once he has mastered man technique, zone schemes should be no problem at all.

BIO: Three sport star who also excels as a baseball and basketball player.
