The Analysis

PROS: Few lineman enter the college ranks as better pass blockers than run, but Murphy is advanced when it comes to pass protection. He has long arms, a big frame, good footwork and shows quality agility in pass drops. He can get into his sets quickly and with good balance. This athleticism also means he moves well in space and can get quickly to the next level. He also shows the killer instinct that O-Line coaches crave on the next level.

CONS: He shows all the skills needed to be a quality run blocker as well, but this is not his area of strength. He will need to add plenty of bulk and power in order to develop into an all-around tackle prospect. He shows the tools needed, so this should be easily fixed with proper technique and a year in the weight room.

BIO: The All-FIC Southern selection, and Section Pac 5 Division All-Offense pick, will play in the U.S. Army All-American game.
