The Analysis

PROS:Smith is an outstanding overall football player who simply understands the game of football. He is constantly in the right position, reads quarterbacks very well and makes the right decisions. He can play underneath with solid quickness and burst while possessing the overall speed needed to cover the vertical passing game as well. His high football IQ allows him to make sound cuts, breaks and closes on the ball well because of it.

CONS:He is a lean, lankly player (even for his height) and will need to add plenty of bulk and power to his frame. This will help him develop as a press coverman and give him the ability to fill against the run when needed.

BIO:Combined for 11 interceptions over his sophomore and junior seasons to go with 94 tackles and 24 passes broken up. Was named a Class 3A first-team All-State selection as a junior.
