The Analysis

PROS: The massive interior lineman is built like a truck and delivers hits like one as well. He doesn’t tackle the ball, he consumes it. He uses great burst and power, along with sheer size, to disrupt the middle of the offense. He is an extremely physical player who can make opponents look foolish. He has strong, quick hands which he uses well both on the offensive and defensive line. Goldman should be excellent against the run and will do an excellent job of taking of space and holding up blockers. Yet, his hands and explosiveness give him the potential to be a rare disruptive force up the middle in passing situations as well.

CONS: Since he is at his best in close quarters, Goldman does not move extremely well from side to side. His range will be tested on the next level. Since he simply overpowers the opposition, he will need plenty of work refining his technique and fundamentals. There also seems to be some concern about his motor and giving maximum effort on every play. This is something to keep an eye on.
