The Analysis

Perry is a versatile athlete who can be, at times, a physically dominating player. He possess a perfect blend of size and quickness that offensive tackles dread. He is great in attack situations and shows a great hunger in pass-rush scenarios. He has experience in not only playing middle linebacker but also with his hand in the dirt as an edge rusher. Perry could add weight and be a 6’4” 260-pound terror off the end.

Because he played a lot of linebacker, he tends to play too high at times. It can be corrected, but he pops right out of his stance on most plays. This will never work if he expects to play along the defensive line. Because he played middle linebacker, he is more comfortable with attacking with a head of steam. Once in the trenches, Perry will need to work on his technique when playing in tight with blockers.

This talented defender led his team to a state championship his senior year and was recently elected a first-team USA Today High School All-American.
