The Skinny
This heady wideout showed very well at the Under Armour AA game
The Analysis
The year of the wide receiver continues. Jarboe is another in a long line of college-ready, tall pass catchers. He does not have elite speed but gets by on grit and instincts. He is shifty in the open field and has decent small-space agility, but he is not a burner. Jarboe’s ball skills are very strong as he catches a lot of passes away from his body with his hands.
He shows the ability to work all three levels of the defense. The offense he ran in high school used him mostly in the flats and on deep routes. He will need to learn how to manipulate zone schemes. A good wide receiver will learn to push and pull defenders as desired. Overall, Jarboe is a heady prospect and will be ready to play soon, but he does lack the sixth gear.
