Recruiting Class No. 1: Alabama

It's time to name the recruiting champion of 2008 and, to no one's surprise, it's Nick Saban's Alabama squad, with five AC100 members and 32 total signees, that takes the top spot.

Recruiting Class No. 2: Ohio State

We're down to the top five classes of 2008 and Ohio State, much like USC, was all about quality rather than quantity. The Buckeyes pulled in the highest number of AC100 members and have earned the No. 2 rank.

Recruiting Class No. 3: Miami

We're down to the top five classes of 2008. To try and turn around a disappointing first season at Miami, Randy Shannon pulled in Athlon's third-ranked class, including eight AC100 members.

Recruiting Class No. 4: Notre Dame

We're down to the top five classes of 2008. Charlie Weis brings another strong group of players to South Bend and has earned Athlon's No. 4 ranking.

Recruiting Class No. 5: USC

We're down to the top five classes of 2008. Pete Carroll is no stranger to the top 5 recruiting lists and his Trojans begin the final countdown in the No. 5 spot.

Recruiting Class No. 6: Georgia

Athlon is releasing its top 25 recruiting classes of 2008 and there's only a few schools left in the countdown. Mark Richt earned Athlon's No. 6 class by pulling in 24 signees

Recruiting Class No. 7: Oklahoma

Athlon is releasing its top 25 recruiting classes of 2008 and there's only a few schools left in the countdown. Bob Stoops earned Athlon's No. 7 position with another quality class in Norman.

Recruiting Class No. 8: Florida

Athlon is releasing its top 25 recruiting classes of 2008 and there's only a few schools left in the countdown. Urban Meyer earned Athlon's No. 8 position after reeling in seven AC100 members.

Recruiting Class No. 9: Clemson

Signing Day has come and gone and Athlon is releasing its top 25 recruiting classes of 2008. Tommy Bowden pulled another stellar class, including four AC100 members, to earn Athlon's No. 9 rank.

Recruiting Class No. 10: Michigan
