Conference USA has become quite the hotbed for college fantasy prospects over the last two seasons. UCF’s Kevin Smith, Tulane’s Matt Forte and Tulsa’s Paul Smith were some of the top fantasy players last season and the conference has no shortage of options this season. Three of the top five fantasy quarterbacks reside in Conference USA – Rice’s Chase Clement, Houston’s Case Keenum and Tulsa’s David Johnson. Although UAB’s Joseph Webb, SMU’s Bo Levi Mitchell, Southern Mississippi’s Austin Davis and UTEP’s Trevor Vittatoe aren’t in the top five of current fantasy rankings, each is worth a start in 120 leagues.

Conference USA isn’t the only place boasting multiple fantasy options. The Big 12 is the best quarterback conference in college football and seven of the 12 starters rank inside our top 20 this week. Texas Tech’s Graham Harrell has an interesting road match-up against Kansas, but we think the senior is the best fantasy play among signal-callers this week. The Red Raiders have scored at least 35 points in every game this season and average nearly 46 points per game. Oklahoma State’s Zac Robinson is normally around the top 10, but has a tough match-up against Texas in Week 9. If you have options on your bench, consider them over Robinson.

Injury Report -

Central Michigan’s Dan LeFevour was slated to start against Western Michigan, but did not play. We are ranking LeFevour at a cautious 16th this week, but check our injury reports for the latest on his status later this week.

Minnesota’s Adam Weber should be closer to 100 percent after undergoing knee surgery before facing Illinois.

Cincinnati’s Tony Pike is scheduled to return from a broken arm and will start Saturday’s game against Connecticut.

Connecticut's Zach Frazer is questionable to play against Cincinnati with a concussion.

Michigan State’s Brian Hoyer was injured against Ohio State, but will start against Michigan.

Michigan’s Steven Threet is battling an arm injury, but has been cleared to start against Michigan State.

Toledo’s Aaron Opelt (leg) is questionable to start against Central Michigan.

Indiana’s Kellen Lewis (ankle sprain) is questionable to play against Northwestern.
