Week 5 Fantasy QB Rankings

It’s a great week to be a quarterback. Fantasy owners should have no trouble finding options for their lineup this week and topping the rankings for Week 5 is Rice’s Chase Clement. As expected, the senior didn’t post huge numbers against Vanderbilt and Texas, but look for a bounce back week against North Texas. Just behind Clement are Central Michigan’s Dan LeFevour and Tulsa’s David Johnson. Johnson has been red hot the last two weeks and don’t expect Central Arkansas to slow him down.

Houston has dropped three consecutive games, but quarterback Case Keenum continues to fire away. The sophomore has thrown for more than 360 yards and three touchdowns in all four games this season and despite East Carolina having a solid defense, keep him in your lineup. Oklahoma’s match-up with TCU isn’t easy, but Sooner quarterback Sam Bradford is still a top ten fantasy option this week.

Oregon freshman Darron Thomas is an intriguing option down the board, but it appears the freshman will split time with Jeremiah Masoli. If Thomas ends up with the full snap count in Saturday’s game against Washington State, he deserves a significant bump in the rankings. Another freshman, Ohio State’s Terrelle Pryor, had an impressive start against Troy. Assuming Pryor sees the full workload against Minnesota, he’s definitely worth a look as a starter in two quarterback leagues.
