For those of you playing the waiver wire game with your defenses, take a look at Kentucky. The Wildcats held Louisville to no offensive touchdowns and only two points in last week’s victory. This week, they will host FCS foe Norfolk State. Although the Spartans are a solid FCS team, this defense should hold them to ten points or less. Florida State and Iowa are likely on the waiver wire in some leagues and have excellent plays this week.

The Buckeyes will continue to hang atop the fantasy defensive rankings, but will likely slip in week three with their match-up against USC. Owners of the Ohio State defense may want to scour the waiver wire a week early to prepare for not having them in your lineup for week three.

Couple of injury notes to keep in mind - LSU's Colt David did not kick in week one due to injury and the Tigers' week two match-up against Troy is postponed due to Hurricane Gustav. Texas' Ryan Bailey was injured against Florida Atlantic and his status for this week's game is up in the air.
