Week 2 QB Rankings

Week one provided a few fantasy surprises at this position, but for the most part, the top rated passers were at the top of the board. Rice’s Chase Clement passed for six touchdowns and totaled over 300 yards in the Owls’ victory over SMU. We like this senior signal-caller to have another huge week and he’ll check in at number three, closely behind Graham Harrell and Chase Daniel.

Florida’s Tim Tebow had an easy outing against Hawaii, but the defending Heisman Trophy winner should reach the endzone a few more times against Miami. The Hurricanes figure to give the Gators a tougher test, giving Tebow and his surrounding cast more touches Saturday night.

Tulsa’s David Johnson was a player we highlighted last week as one to watch. The senior was expected to split time with Jacob Bower, but ended up seeing the majority of snaps. Although we can’t rule out Bower from seeing a few plays, Johnson appears a safe top-ten fantasy quarterback this week.

Keep an eye on Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford and Washington’s Jake Locker. Bradford had a solid showing against Chattanooga, but Cincinnati is a much tougher opponent. The Bearcats have two solid cornerbacks and could provide a tough test for the sophomore quarterback and his receivers. Locker will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing week one performance against Oregon. BYU is a solid defensive team, but the Ducks have one of the best defensive backfields in the country and proved to be too much for his young receivers.
