Thanks to several top quarterbacks going against subpar competition, there are plenty of solid options. Texas Tech’s Graham Harrell was our top preseason fantasy quarterback and the senior won’t move far in week one. Look for over 400 yards and four touchdowns on Saturday. Just behind Harrell is Central Michigan’s Dan LeFevour and Florida’s Tim Tebow.

If you don’t have one of the top three options this week, don’t worry. West Virginia’s Pat White, Indiana’s Kellen Lewis, BYU’s Max Hall and Minnesota’s Adam Weber are other solid picks, just to name a few.

The Rice-SMU shootout provides a couple of options. Rice’s Chase Clement should have no trouble throwing for over 300 yards against a suspect defense, while the Mustangs will look to get their young quarterbacks off on the right foot. Freshman Bo Levi Mitchell is not a bad play, but Braden Smith will see snaps. Proceed with caution with the Mustang quarterback situation.

Three names to watch in the 20’s this Saturday. Washington State’s Gary Rogers, Indiana’s Kellen Lewis and Kansas State’s Josh Freeman. Lewis is rated a little low for his match-up, but it’s up in the air whether he will start this game or Ben Chappell will get the nod.
