I'm not downing the colleges just the cheats that
ruin everything for the ones trying to play honestly.
To the honest ones I commend you....To the cheaters, i hope you all get caught and have to forfeit all your games and lose the right to play college football!

Submitted by senracjr on September 17, 2008 - 5:07pm.

That the programs that have the most championships all have been on probation for illegal recruiting? money can buy you great players. couldn't live with cheating of any kind. thats like cheating at Solitaire it's not the same as winning honestly. They made Alabama stop recruiting illegally so what do they do? they go out and pay millions for a coach!Oklahoma is still buying recruits cars and stuff. They just haven't got caught yet...but give it time, they will!Anyone that cheats and gets caught should have to drop football for at least 5 years. look what happened to SMU...The poor guys lost out on playing football for quite a while. One reason is they didn't have enough money to grease the pockets of the NCAA like alot of teams do.

And they are AP and UPI championships

Let's see, Oklahoma will play Texas, Kansas and Texas Tech during the regular season all top 15 teams. They also will play TCU and Cinncinatti who both will be top 25 teams. Most likely, they will play #6 Missouri in the Big 12 Championship. That's 2 top 10; 4 top 15; and 6 top 25, plus a top five team in the bowl game. So at least one half of their games will be against the top 25 teams or better. That's a tough schedule!

I recall Georgia struggling against an inexperienced, young Oklahoma State squad at home last year! However, after Oklahoma State switched quarterbacks, I recall Oklahoma man-handling the same squad after they had improved to be the only team in the nation that averaged 250 yards rushing and 250 yards passing per game. I look foward to playing Georgia in Miami, our second home.

Harrel is very good. We just have a backup quarterback that is just as good.

So what you are saying is that Harrell is not that good? He is just an average QB? I don't think so. The QB is the triggerman, EVERYTHING goes through him.

Submitted by RedRaiders101 on July 25, 2008 - 3:24pm.

Yeah but the quarterback is not the only position on the field. And I disagree that the QB is the best. Yall Have a good running back that ya'll don't neeed a QB for.

Submitted by SoonermagicJ on July 25, 2008 - 2:53pm.

yes acctully they can Qb is the most important position on the field next to the line, when you have an unexperienced Qb playing it usally means your going to have troble and in this case our starter went down and we had to bring in the unexperienced qb and he played like crap until the 4th quarter in which we came back and almost won the game.

Why does everyone keep saying that Tech won all because Sam Braford. One guy cannot change the tide of a football game.

Submitted by SoonermagicJ on July 24, 2008 - 10:35pm.

we are the best big 12 team we have more big 12 titles than any other team in the confrence and the first team to win 2 in a row and its going to be 3 in a row this year Tech is at oklahoma this year so they are screwed last two times tech won there was some kind of bad call, even my friends who are longhorn fans said there were alot of BS calls against us and if bradford hadnt gotten hurt it probley would have went the other way.

Oh so now were're mister tough guy now are we. We'll see who get's to the Big 12 Championship and then we will see who get's to talk. And quit acting like you scary. Your going to make youself look bad along with you sorry OU team.

Submitted by MaximusA1 on July 24, 2008 - 4:21pm.

Your sorry squad has not even been to the Big 12 Championship game, score all those points and what do you have to show for it? NOTHING!!! When TT has A CHANCE, to make the Big 12 look bad as you say then talk boy. Until that happens SHUT YOUR MOUTH! When is the last time TT won a conference championship in football? Ha, Ha!

Submitted by RedRaiders101 on July 19, 2008 - 10:21pm.

Don't tell me what to do? I'm just saying. OU Makes themselves look like the there the best Big 12 team ever, then they go and play a team in the big east and get the crap kicked out of them!

Submitted by MaximusA1 on July 19, 2008 - 4:52pm.

What is this crap "Make the Big 12 look bad by losing in BCS games"? As my highschool coach always told us "you can't win it, if you are not there"! So when TT GETS to the Big 12 championship game, then talk!

Submitted by RedRaiders101 on July 15, 2008 - 7:52pm.

The only reason why Oklahoma is ranked nuber 3 is because how they did in there spring game and in recruiting. For all anybody knows in the big 12 is that they might win the big 12 championship and lose the Fiesta bowl and make the big 12 look bad like they do every year!!!!

USC and Notre Dame can only lay claim to more NCAA titles than OU and as the earlier post stated we're talking AP, UPI and BCS only. As this year goes the SOONERS need to prove it's back 7 can be better than last year. There were too many holes last year and have been since Mark Stoops left. Mobile QB's give OU fits so we'll see how we do if we have to goto K.C. to play MIZZOU if they are the North Champs this year. That looks like a trap. Texas could be better this year on offense but it's defense will still be under construction. Texas Tech dosen't usually do well in Norman, And who knows what we'll see from A&M who has a mobile QB but can they pass? I think if we get past Texas we'll be O.K. Kansas could be tricky but they don't seem to have the talent of Texas plus it's a home game. I think the true land mines are Texas, Washington(yeah I said it they'll be loud and amped in Seattle), and Kansas. Tech may be tough but I think last year will bode well for revenge and Bob must prove losing the last 2 of 3 to Tech is a fluke. Cincy could be harder than expected, they are tough defensively and if Mauck had returned they'd be murder on offense. They have talent Ciny does. OU will either lose 2 or go undefeated. Winning a bowl game may depend on matchups: we match up well with everyone. Georgia, Florida, and WVU would be tough matchups for OU. Ga's offensive line will be experienced by then and GA will be battle tested. FLA and WVU has speed but the X factor are mobile QB's. For OU to go undefeated they must find a star at line backer (BOX,Reynolds) and those CBs must be solid, not great just good. Having Nic Harris and the best D line in College will take care of the rest. There are no holes in OU's offense. No need to talk about how great they'll be this year no huddle or whatever. But our defense is key if they are great against the pass then nobody including GA, FLA, whoever will beat us. If OU can't defend the field we could lose 2 plus a bowl game depending on who we play. Too much great offense to worry about a let down. Missouri, Texas and whoever will have OU's attention so I'll go ahead and predict a BCS title apperance. (BOOMER!)

Oklahoma only counts it's AP and UPI National Championships unlike schools like Michigan an OSU. If we counted all the others we'd have something like 14 or 16. Ohio State has 4 AP or UPI national championships as for Michigan I think it's less. If we counted all of those joke NC's then Yale would be the greatest of all time.

OU isn't getting a sniff of the title game guys. Oh, and by the way, Michigan has 11 titles and Ohio State has 7. Besides, Texas is going to kick your @#! this year.

Submitted by dylanb27 on June 24, 2008 - 9:49pm.

ok oklahoma is set up for a national title with one of the best front fours on d and one of the best o lines and sam bradford who led the nation in passing efficiency last year and broke all the freshman records......he's only going to get better and dont for get about demarco murray.this guy is the next reggie bush or even better.last year he didn't get much playing time behind allen patrick but when he did get it he averaged over 10 yards per carry and averaged 28 yards per kickoff return and was a huge treat at punt returner.this guy is like reggie bush at runnin back an devin hester at returner.and the only game that should be tough is the texas game and in my opinoin won't even be close in oklahomas favor, and are first five games will be blowouts against chattenooga, ciccinatti, washington, tcu, and baylor.WE ARE SET UP FOR THAT 8TH NATIONAL TITLE ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS GO OUT AND EXECUTE.GO SOONERS!!!!!

The play calling has since dropped after chuck longs departure. Bradford played his a** off last year and did a phenomenal job..who do u think is responsible for bradfords rapid development?? JOSH HEUPEL.
not kevin wilson. I acyually pay very close attn to plays, yardage situations, clock mamgmt, etc..
Time to let Heupel take over the reigns then we will see bradford and that HUGE o-line massacre the big 12.
Who cares about pryor anyway?? Can u say Bobby Reid. haha. Get outta here with that talk.
Later sis.

With a new young QB, your going to knock the play calling. I suppose you think freshman QB's are always ready for big time football. Let's see how T. Pryor does this year at Ohio ST.

Show respect for 7 National Titles. Here are some respected programs that can't say 7 Titles... Florida, Miami, Florida St., Michigan, and Ohio St.

Submitted by kapreecha on June 9, 2008 - 8:10pm.

Id like to see kevin wilson actually make a decent play call this season. Every play we ran last year was so predictable, especially on third downs, thank god we have good players to make his offensive schemes look like they work..this guy is a chump.
anyone disagree?

That Cream puff conference you guys play in is comparable to conference USA.

Vandy is no good, Ky is no good, TN is down, SC is rebuiding, Al is rebuiding, Auburn not that good anymore, LSu lost everyone that was good from last years squad, we know how bad they were w/o Dorsey (AR. beat them) Ark. is lousy, MS,MSU are all terible. That leaves Fl UGA who are very good as the only real contenders. (2 teams)
The old saying "It all comes out in the wash" Very true!!
The only thing that matters is where everyone finished and the BIG12 finished with the most teams in the Top 20 at the end of the season.
