Ok Tennessee fans so you open up in the west coast. Thats like opening at vanderbilt. ill admit the east is strong but the west has teams that can beat you at any momment. The east just has Florida and Georgia. Tennessee gets help form other teams that beat Florida and Georgia troughout the year. But we will all see what side is stronger when tennessee comes to the jungle and Florida I cant remeber the last time they beat Auburn. Oh and that was a Freshman kicker who won that game in the swamp last year.

One blogger mentioned that the SEC East was terrible and the teams in the West had to pick up the slack. That is ridiculous and had to be written by some fan's clueless girlfriend. Florida and Georgia are unquestionably in the Preseason Top 5 and Tennessee is right around 15, give or take a couple of spots. The West has LSU and Auburn who should be in everyone's top 12 or 13 and an Alabama team that may be ranked at season's end. The SEC is an outstanding conference overall, but the EAST is, and has been, the toughest DIVISION in all of college football for the past 15 years. The West is very good and has been since the revival of the Auburn and LSU programs over the course of this decade. The LSU program was on life support during the 1990's and Auburn was terrible in '98 and '99 until ol' Wingnut (AKA Tommy Tuberville) stepped in. The West is very good, but, YEAR IN AND YEAR OUT, (not every year, this is a figure of speech), the EAST is the toughest division in all of football. That is a fact.

you all will see. It wil be spurrier who is fired after this season...not fulmer. Tennesse will win 10 games this year. I think we upset the overrated floria and also will the bama game. Georgia and Auburn will be the tests

Alright i've heard enough about fulmer gettin fired and all this stuff. If you fulmer hateing cowards would look at what hes doing this year in recruiting you would see how stupid you are. He already got one of the top classes in the country and hasn't even signed but half the class. Fulmer is out to prove people wrong and I think with this team hes got it will be very interesting to see how ut does. I think if crompton can just play mustake free football and not try to win the game on his own then ut can be a dangerous team. GO VOLS WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEW!!!!

Only an Auburn fan would have the most unintelligent remark on this page. For one thing, the East is the strongest it has been in ten years. To say that they're schedule is weak is ludicrous. Tennessee opens up their season on the west coast for the second year in a row, for God's sake. Secondly, you will see first hand the speed that you think TN lacks in Eric Berry and Gerald Jones... two of the finest athletes in the SEC. By the way, who does Auburn play outside of the conference?

@ 2-4, then losing to Croom, Saban, and Spurrier winning the final 3 won't be enough to save Fulmer @ 5-7 + no bowl.

Tennessee doesnt have chance to win the sec this year. They are stuck in the past were they think that you have to have the biggest and the strongest player at every position. when they see that you need speed to win the sec and not strength then they wil do something. Alabama and Florida define Tennessee's season not Alabama and Auburn. Tennessee plays auburn once every few years not every season. Plus to me the sec east is a joke the west makes up the for the horrible games played in the east. You can count tennessee out for the next few years.

This team looks ready to win the SEC for the first time in ten years, but then you look at the background facts. The often underappreciated but solid Ainge is gone. Genius offensive coordinator Cutcliffe left for Duke, leaving Georgia fans everywhere thanking the Lord. This team is also loaded with thugs that continue to get caught smoking weed or having unregistered weapons. Then the schedule, just gazing over it, it looks relatively harmless when compared to a team like Georgia's. However, EVERY SEC East team has an off week before they play the Vols. Without true leadership- you could argue their most important player is a sophomore- you really need to wonder how much longer before the wheels begin to fall off and Fulmer is fired. They definitely lose to Georgia this year, at least that's my prediction, but I'm thinking they upset Florida. They have a good enough secondary and overall team speed to stop Florida's spread. If there was a possible upset game, it would be Mississippi State, which is a reloading team that Tennessee plays after Georgia and before Alabama. Speaking of, Alabama and Auburn define Tennessee's season. Win both and you get an at large bid to the BCS. Lose both and you're in the Peach Bowl. This team has the talent to get to ten wins in the regular season, but because of the intangibles it would shock me if they got to that mark.
