After having only one undecided kid in the first release (Brandon Smith), there are four in this group. Brandon Thompson, Josh Jarboe, Jerrell Harris and Nick Perry have all yet to make their decisions.

All four will be interesting to track, but Jarboe could be extra intriguing. Look for George O’Leary and UCF to make a strong push for the heady wideout. Jarboe wants early playing time, and the Golden Kinghts can offer that. It will, however, be a tall order beating out the likes of Florida, Georgia, LSU and Oklahoma.

The athletes in this group are outstanding. Joe Adams, Desean Hales and Lamaar Thomas are all extremely versatile players who can play many different positions. Look for Ohio State to use Thomas much in the same mold as a Percy Harvin. He can play out of the backfield either as a running back or potentially as an option quarterback. He also shows fabulous deep threat ability. Thomas is a top-50 player.

When it comes to physical play and crushing blows look no further than Jerrell Harris and E.J. Woods. These two kids play fast, hard and like kamikaze missiles. They explode on impact, destroying anything in their path. Both should be ranked higher.

The defensive line is also very well represented here. Perry set a Michigan state sack record with an astounding 36 sacks his senior season. Thompson and Garrett Goebel both look to be big bodies who, with some work, could be solid contributors from their tackle position.

State: The state of Georgia continues to roll. With two more prospects, the Peach State has a very strong group of five now. Texas added two, bringing its total to three and a tie for second with California’s three talented defensive backs. (GA-5, CA-3, TX-3, 9 tied with one)

Position: The mysterious ‘athlete’ position dominated this release with three dynamic prospects claiming that title. All three are likely to play offense, but Adams could end up on defense. Corner (4) and athlete (4) have the most representation so far. No other position has three. (5 tied with two)

School: Ohio State added two players in this group (Goebel and Thomas), and UCLA added E.J. Woods to put the two powerhouses in an early tie with three AC100 commitments. Texas (Hales and Monroe) and Georgia have two commits each. (5 tied with one)

Conference: The Big Ten and Pac-10 each have two prospects in this group, and both leagues have four commits among players 80 through 100. That puts them in a first-place tie. The SEC and Big 12 have three commits each. The interesting thing is that the Big East and ACC have a combined one prospect (Harmon-Clem) in the first 20.
