2007 Recruiting class No. 4: Texas

The Texas recruiting class is one of the most talent-laden classes in their history.

The Longhorns have shored up their offensive line for the next four years. They have become more athletic on both sides of the ball, adding speed and skill to the receiver corp and the secondary. They also added speed to their defensive front.

Impact Player: Curtis Brown, DB, Gilmer, Texas

Brown is a special player with a mix of skill and speed that only a few are blessed with. He has an uncanny sense for the ball. When the ball is in the air, he will come down with it. He has a 40-plus inch vertical leap and will be infused into the Texas secondary early. Brown will make an immediate impact.

Sleeper: Brandon Collins, ATH, Brenham, Texas

Explosive is the word that best describes this versatile athlete. He has cat-like quickness, breakaway speed and the swagger to back it up. At receiver he is a homerun hitter anytime he is on the field. He will be a difference maker for Texas in the years to come.
