In every fantasy line-up, every week there are perilous decisions that can make or break a fantasy victory. While no other person can ever tell a GM who to play - only the owner can truly make that call - a little advice couldn't hurt, right? Each week we will glance at some players that deserve consideration for a starting spot this weekend and a few that owners might want to think twice about playing due to tough match-ups or extenuating circumstances.

Quarterback Rankings

Deserves a Second Look
Rudy Carpenter, Arizona St (Washington St)
This is Carpenter's chance at a huge game before he finishes his eligibility in Tempe. The cure for a very disappointing season is a match-up with the Cougars. WSU ranks last in the nation in rushing defense, scoring defense, turnover margin and sacks. Rudy may actually have time to throw!

Joe Ganz, Nebraska (@ Kansas St)
This is more of a reminder to play Ganz. The Wildcat defense has been horrendous in Big 12 play. They have allowed 51 points per game over the last three (0-3). Ganz is coming off a 324-yard, 3 TD performance against Kansas. It should be a good year for Ganz against the Sunflower State.

Daryll Clark, Penn St (Indiana)
The Hooisers are last in the Big Ten in pass defense, scoring defense, total defense and pass efficiency defense. Clark is the third most efficient passer in the Big Ten (Pryor, Juice). The upside is not huge as he will be handing the ball off plenty but 230-2 is very attainable. Look for PSU to get him back on track after his worst game as a starter last week at Iowa.

Jimmy Clausen, Notre Dame (@ Navy)
Its all or nothing with this Clausen. Ice Man Jr. has had three games of 3:0 touchdown to interception ratios. He also has had at least two interceptions in five games. The Navy secondary is simply not athletic enough to hang with the likes of Michael Floyd and Golden Tate. Look for one of the better ones this weekend.

Jevan Snead, Ole Miss (La-Mon.)
In his only game against the a mid-major (Memphis) Snead posted 185 passing yards and a pair of touchdowns. And that was his first start ever at Ole Miss. He has since played six SEC games and a road trip to Wake Forest. He has thrown two touchdowns in each of his last two games and that trend should continue against the likes of the Sun Belt.

Better Think Twice
Juice Williams, Illinois (Ohio St)
The Buckeyes are leading the Big Ten in pass defense, allowing a paltry 164 yards through the air. With revenge on the brain for Ohio State, Williams could be in for a long day. The Bucks also rank in the top ten nationally in total, scoring and pass efficiency defense as well.

Willie Tuitama, Arizona (@ Oregon)
In what is the hardest place to play in the Pac-10, Autzen Stadium has seen opponents average 235 yards passing per game. However, removing the Boise State game pushes that number down to 197 ypg. Also, they have allowed only 193 passing yards per game over their last three games. The Duck defense is much better than the numbers indicate, especially at home.

Chase Holbrook, New Mexico St (@ Fresno St)
Despite a solid fantasy output last week, Holbrook and his offensive line have struggled. The Aggie quarterback has thrown seven interceptions over the last four games with at least two picks in three of those (including a 0-point, 64-yard, 0 TD, 1 INT stat line against Boise two weeks ago). And playing in the Valley is not an easy fix for inconsistency.

Lower the expectations
Adam Weber, Minnesota (@ Wisconsin)
No Eric Decker and on the road means tough match-up.

Austin Davis, So. Miss (ECU)
Tough defense and running game uncertainty.

Brian Johnson, Utah (@ San Diego St)
He may not even attempt 10 passes (SDSU: 118th v. the run)

Running Back Rankings

Deserves a Second Look
Keegan Herring, Arizona St (Washington St)
The only team allowing more yards rushing than San Diego State is Washington State. The NCAA worst rush defense is allowing nearly 280 yards per game on the ground. Play all the Sun Devil options this week.

C.J. Spiller / James Davis, Clemson (Duke)
Spiller is coming off one of the best games of his season last week against one of the nation's best defenses in Florida St. In fact, he has compiled nearly 300 yards of total offense in his last two games. Duke should be no match for the two-headed tailback attack as they rank near the bottom of the ACC in every major defensive statistic.

Matt Asiata / Darrell Mack, Utah (@ San Diego St)
The Aztecs are allowing  273 rushing yards per game. The Utes will have to get those yards somehow. Asiata and Mack are the both solid options this week.

Daniel Porter, La. Tech (Utah St)
The Bulldog runner has put up 291 yards rushing over the last two weeks and added two scores to that stat line. Over the last four games Porter has alternated scoring two and then no touchdowns. If the trend holds true, he should reach paydirt twice this weekend. Utah State ranks 91st nationally against the run allowing 174 ypg.

Big Ten Back-Up Alert
John Clay, Wisconsin (Minnesota)
The big bruiser has gone over 100 yards and scored in each of the last two games.

Stephfon Green, Penn St (Indiana)
The entire PSU offense will take out its frustration this weekend.

Jewel Hampton, Iowa (Purdue)
The Boilers have yet to stop anyone this season.

Better Think Twice
Nicolas Grigsby, Arizona (@ Oregon)
The Ducks rank 28th nationally against he run allowing only 114 ypg on the ground. That is good enough for third in the Pac-10 and with the raucous crowd behind them, the defense should be inspired this weekend. This Duck defense has held Ian Johnson to 46 yards, Jahvid Best to 97 yards and Toby Gerhart to only 27 yards.

Harvey Unga, BYU (@ Air Force)
A shoulder injury has been hampering the big tailback for a little while now. Against a very hot Air Force squad, huge numbers are unlikely. AFA is surrendering only 17 points per game and only 304 yards of offense per game. Both rank third behind TCU and Utah (two pretty good defenses) in the Mountain West and are nationally in the top 25 in both categories. Also, the Falcons run the ball for 275 yards per game and should control the clock against the Cougars.

Toby Gerhart, Stanford (USC)
The best defense in all of the land is ranked number one nationally in total, scoring, pass and pass efficiency defense. They rank third nationally in rush defense. You have to out of your mind to play him this week.

Bench at your own risk
Kory Sheets, Purdue (@ Iowa)
Hawks allowing only 108 rush yards per game.

Jacquizz Rodgers, Oregon St (Cal)
Bears held USC to 17 points (no rushing TD).

Wide Receiver Rankings

Deserves a Second Look
Jeff Moturi / Kris Adams, UTEP (SMU)
The former fantasy bust has finally started producing. He has scored five times over the last two games and has reached the end zone in each of his last four games totaling seven touchdowns over that span. Adams has scored four times in the last three games. The UTEP offense is really starting to click.

Nate Swift / Todd Peterson, Nebraska (@ Kansas St)
See Joe Ganz above.

Seyi Ajirotutu, Fresno St (NMSU)
14 receptions. 232 yards. 4 TD. Ajirotutu's stat line over the last two games. As Tom Brandstater continues his NFL draft stock push, look for Seyi to reap the benefit of a terrible NMSU defense. They are allowing 33 points per game.

Kendall Wright, Baylor (Texas A&M)
This game has shootout written all over it. It is also the biggest home game for Baylor (they are favored by 8) in a long time. Teams have played well in "biggest game ever" situations this season (ahem, Texas Tech). Look for lots of points and lots of passing from Robert Griffin The Third.

Better Think Twice
Arrelious Benn, Illinois (Ohio St)
See Juice Williams above. Plus, future NFL corner Malcolm Jenkins will be guarding him all game so his upside is certainly limited.

Mike Thomas, Arizona (@ Oregon)
There seems to be a theme developing here with the Wildcat offense: Stay away. Thomas has underachieved all season as well.

Kerry Meier, Kansas (Texas)
The production from the former quarterback has begun to slow. Meier is averaging four catches per game and only 46 yards per game. He also has only scored two touchdowns in last five games. The  slow return of Dexton Fields should also cut into his production as well.

The SMU Mustangs
Wideouts Aldrick Robinson, Emmanuel Sanders and linebacker Justin Smart have been suspended for the rest of the regular season. Does this mean Justin Willis might catch a few passes?
