The Big East continues to lead the pack, with two teams — Connecticut and Villanova — advancing to the Final Four. But the conference was also let down by two of its No. 1 seeds in Louisville and Pittsburgh. The U of L was slowly crushed, 64–52, by Michigan State in the Elite Eight, while Pitt was knocked out by Nova, 78–76, on a last-second shot from Scottie Reynolds.

The ACC is widely considered to be the most disappointing conference, but that could change if North Carolina is cutting down the nets following the national title game in Detroit next Monday. After an impressive 72–60 win over Oklahoma, the Tar Heels look nearly unstoppable. OU ended a respectable run for the Big 12, but even Blake Griffin could not take down UNC.
