On the opposite end of the spectrum, the ACC was the most disappointing league. The historic basketball conference saw four of its seven bids lose in the first round, with only traditional title contenders UNC and Duke advancing to the Sweet 16. The ACC was also dealt the biggest upset, with No. 4-seed Wake Forest — a team that was ranked No. 1 in the country earlier this year and was thought to be a Final Four sleeper by many — being shocked by No. 13-seed Cleveland State.
