Who's healthy enough to start for your fantasy football team
The fantasy season is nearing its postseason. The weeks are winding down; the injuries are piling up. You need to stay ahead of everything in order to make that playoff push. Here’s some information on those that are on the Week 9 injury report or those stepping in for the injured.
Here we are — the halfway point of the NFL season and six weeks away from the start of the fantasy postseason for many. Injuries are making lineup decisions harder — sometimes easier in the committee world of some positions — and bye weeks leave us scrambling for the best start at some positions. Here are a few updates to hopefully help you make that push toward the fantasy postseason.
It’s Week 7 and there are six teams with a bye week. The injuries continue to pile up and teams taking a week off are not helping you as lineup decisions are made. The Cowboys' running back is a 50-50 option to play in week 16
Felix Jones has had an up and down fantasy football season in 2011. And the Cowboys running back is back on a down trend in week 16 against the Eagles.
With Felix Jones' hamstring injury calling him a game-time decision, the Cowboys staff is saying that he won't even play a snap if the Giants win their 1pm game against the New York Jets.
Due to playoff implications, if the Giants win, the Cowboys' game against the Eagles is meaningless, so they'd rather not test him. And as a fantasy owner, you just can't wait to roll the dice on Felix getting on the field.
Felix Jones is the must pick-up as you hit the playoffs
So you made it to Week 15. Congratulations. That either means you won a quarterfinal game or your league’s playoffs begin this week.
This time of the year there is not usually that much to find on the waiver wire that will be of that much benefit to you — you would like to play with who got you here. But injuries, bad matchups and other unfortunate circumstances might have to scouring the wire to see what’s out there to help you advance.
