Peyton Manning’s health has been one of the most-discussed topics of the NFL’s offseason and barring a change of heart by Indianapolis owner Jim Irsay, No. 18 won’t be suiting up for the Colts in 2012. Manning’s recovery from neck surgery has been slow and reports from earlier this offseason weren’t positive about his arm strength and ability to throw to his left. However, some interesting footage has appeared online and you can bet the Redskins, Dolphins and Seahawks are taking notice.

Regardless of whether either Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck or both will be on the Indianapolis Colts’ roster next season, this much is clear — the head coach won’t be Jim Caldwell. Caldwell was fired earlier today, joining former Colts vice chairman Bill Polian and his son, Chris, who was general manager, as a casualty of a disastrous 2-14 season.
Andre Johnson is battling a hamstring injury and could be out 3-4 weeks.
The Houston Texans suffered a setback on offense in Sunday’s game against Pittsburgh with an injury to receiver Andre Johnson. The exact nature of Johnson’s injury varied over the last couple of days, but reports on Tuesday have indicated he will likely miss three games. Johnson hurt his hamstring in the first half against the Steelers, after catching four passes for 36 yards.
The All-Pro wideout was injured Sunday against the Steelers.
Non-contact injuries are often the worst ones.
That was the feeling in Houston yesterday when Texans All-Pro wide receiver Andre Johnson fell untouched to the Reliant Stadium turf. Many speculated that it could be a knee injury – which would have been the scariest scenario – but it appears that Johnson injured his hamstring instead. The MRI today will tell us more, but everyone knows how much Johnson means to the team.
