Florida has been very difficult to beat at the Swamp over the last 20 years. However, the Gators lost three home games last season on their way to an 8-5 record. Urban Meyer quit after the tumultuous season, and now Gainesville native Will Muschamp has UF sitting at 4-0 with Alabama rolling into town.

The carousel was quite active in the offseason, with 23 coaching positions — 19.2 percent of all FBS schools — changing hands. And not only was the amount of turnover high, but there are some major programs under new leadership — Florida, Miami (Fla.) and Michigan. Back then, there was no Hampton Suites in downtown Gainesville. Back then, the place where Will Muschamp lived during the first four months on the job as Florida’s football coach did not exist. The hotel where he shaved and showered before working deep into the nights has only been open for a year.
