Bowl season is upon us, and there are several quality storylines in the early matchups.

Finally. After losing Syracuse and Pittsburgh to the ACC in September and West Virginia to the Big 12 in late October, the Big East is ready to expand. According to CBSSports.com, the conference will formally add Boise State, Houston, San Diego State, SMU and UCF. The Big East is expected to announce the additions on Wednesday.

After three weeks of the college football season, we haven’t seen much movement in the Top 25. Oregon and Florida State have a loss, but both of those defeats were to other Top 10 teams.

Boise State won its third straight opener over a BCS team, and the Broncos did it in impressive fashion with their 35-21 dismantling of Georgia. Many college football fans and media have questioned Boise’s credentials over the last few seasons when it came to the BCS Championship Game. Could the Broncos handle the attrition of a big-time conference?
