It has not been pretty. After Jim Tressel and Terrelle Pryor departed OSU amid a laundry list of NCAA violations, new coach Luke Fickell was left with a depleted roster and no answer at quarterback.

There have been several surprise teams through five weeks of the college football season, and three at the top of the list would be unbeaten Clemson, Georgia Tech and Illinois.
