Ranking the College Football Coaching Jobs: 120-51

If you are a free agent coach, which programs are the most attractive jobs in the nation?

We have ranked every college football program in the country, based on the attractiveness of the position from a coaching perspective. We considered many factors — tradition, facilities, location, money  — but in the end, we simply asked ourselves the following question: Where would we want to coach? Check back tomorrow for rankings 50-1.

The news for Oregon got worse last week with a Yahoo Sports' report that contained details about Willie Lyles and his relationship with Chip Kelly. The Ducks have yet to receive a letter of inquiry, but they are under investigation from the NCAA. With potential sanctions hanging over the program, what should Oregon do with Kelly? Impending Doom in Oregon?

Dez Bryant saw his college career ended by dinner with schmucks. Bruce Pearl lost his job at Tennessee because of a backyard BBQ. Reggie Bush and USC “lost” the BCS championship and Heisman Trophy because some sleazeball wannabe agent was lurking in the shadows. Jim Tressel’s time in Columbus was cut short, well, because of stupidity and arrogance.

Maynard Named California Starting Quarterback

California picks Maynard as its Starting Quarterback

Jeff Tedford has picked his starting quarterback for 2011 and it’s not much of a surprise. Zach Maynard won a five-man battle for the starting job, which included Brock Mansion (who started the final three games of 2010) and sophomore Allan Bridgford. Although the Bears closed spring practices, Maynard was widely expected to finish No. 1 on the depth chart.
