Confessions of a Trade-a-holic, Part II

Last week, I recapped my offseason of trades – and while it wasn’t quite as long as a John Grisham novel, it certainly had as many twists and turns, as well as a cliffhanger of sorts.

You see, I left readers wondering whether I’d be able to pull off trading the 8 and 18 picks for the 6^th overall selection.

Well, I did it, and it effectively allowed me to secure yet another one of the top tier of dynasty rookies, which – due to the Ben Tate injury – now ends after Ryan Mathews, Dez Bryant, C.J. Spiller, Jahvid Best, Demaryius Thomas and Mike Williams. After that, there is a huge drop-off to guys such as Arrelious Benn, Brandon LaFell, Dexter McCluster and Jermaine Gresham.

Then, even when I thought I was done prior to draft day (this coming Saturday), I wasn’t. I received an offer from another owner – I give Heath Miller for Justin Forsett. Now, I like both players, but I needed a little more. Dealing Miller would leave me with only Dustin Keller at TE, so I asked for the 23^rd pick in exchange for the 29^th. Done.

Now, I’ve solidified my RB depth and opened up the 11^th pick to likely snag Gresham.

Or, maybe I’ll go with Rolando McClain. Hmmm. Sorry, I have to leave you hanging again, but I’ll have a full analysis of how things went in my 10-team dynasty rookie-only draft next week.
