Arizona lefthander Patrick Corbin went the distance on Monday night against Colorado, giving up just one earned run on three hits with a walk and 10 strikeouts in the 5-1 victory. With the complete game and 10 Ks, the 23-year-old became just the third visiting pitcher to ever do so at Coors Field and the first since 1998. Corbin also is just the second southpaw in Diamondbacks history to record a complete game with three or fewer hits and at least 10 strikeouts. The other is Randy Johnson, who pitched seven such games during his eight years with the team. For the season, Corbin is 7-0 with a 1.44 ERA and has given up no more than two earned runs in any of his nine starts thus far.
